Pretty Flower Vase - Digi Stamp Boutique DT

Hello everyone :o)

I'm here with a card made for an order, using a gorgeous recent image from Digi Stamp Boutique.

The image is called Pretty Flower Vase and I coloured it with copics, with a bit of Nuvo clear sparkle pen on the flower centres.  The papers are Dovecraft, sentiment is a new clear stamp available HERE.  Buttons and ribbon from my stash, the heart wreath is an Avery Elle die and the stitched circle die is from this set.

I'm entering my card for the following challenges
Simon Says Wednesday - anything goes
Crafty Cardmakers - floral delight
Addicted to Stamps - have a heart
Fussy & Fancy - favourite colours (I have lots of favourites, but I love this colour combo)

So, do you have snow?  We've got loads and it's been snowing on and off all day... I decided to keep the kids off, and I'm so glad I did because Morgan's school closed within a couple of hours of opening and Dex's school sent messages out saying they were staying open but sending children home if parents could collect them.  I don't know why they open when it's as bad as it was today, it just creates confusion!  Not sure what'll happen tomorrow, but Dex was supposed to be dressing up for World Book Day and they've already sent messages saying that will be postponed to another day.  I knitted him a beard to go with his costume this morning (the things we do, eh?!), but I suppose he'll still get to wear it all eventually.

Thanks for popping in, hope you have a lovely evening :o)

Everybody Art GDT - pearls & lace

Hello again... I'm back with my 2nd post for today, my Guest DT card for Everybody Art where the theme is 'pearls & lace'.

The papers are Raspberry Rd digi ones printed on linen card (I have a huge tub of different ones printed out for some reason, occasionally I remember to use some of them!).  The glittery butterfly is from my stash, possibly Prima, the cotton lace is also from my older stash.  The sentiment is a clear one from Digi Stamp Boutique available HERE, scalloped frame dies are MFT die-namics and the pearls are from my stash.

I'm entering my card for the following challenges
Allsorts - something beginning with 'B' (2nd entry - butterfly, birthday, bling)
Pile It On - 3d embellishments
Country View Challenges - anything but cute
City Crafter - die cuts

Thanks for popping in, hope you have a lovely evening :o)

Papercraft Challenges DT - ribbon

Good Morning :o)

I'm here with my DT card for Papercraft Challenges, where our challenge is 'ribbon' and we're sponsored by Rick St Dennis who kindly provided images for the DT to use.

This image is called Make a New Friend Cat and I coloured it with copics... I ruined the first one trying to make it look furry, so I gave up with the second attempt and left him smooth... need more fur practice!  The papers are old Prima ones (Believe), and I've had that paw print twill ribbon for a very long time too.  Sentiment stamp is from a new clear set from Digi Stamp Boutique HERE, scallop frame die is MFT die-namics and the enamel dots are Doodlebug.

I'll be back later with my Everybody Art DT card... thanks for popping in, hope you have a lovely day :o)

Westie Walkies

Hello everyone :o)

Here's a card I made for an order, using a super cute image from Di's Digi Stamps, called Westie Walkies.

I coloured it with copics, and thought I'd made a huge mess of the white fur, until I added some strokes of white uni Posca pen, and then I was quite happy with it.  I added dots of white pen on the wellies too, because wellies should be spotty don't you think?  The papers are old ones from LOTV, ribbon is from Fantastic Ribbons, the flowers are an MFT die with Doodlebug enamel dot centres, the stitched circle die is from a Creative Dies set from Craft Stash.  The sentiment is from a new clear stamp set from Digi Stamp Boutique available HERE.

I'm entering my card for the following challenges
Dragonfly Journeys - year of the dog
Crafty Catz - anything goes + optional birthdays
Cute Card Thursday - cute critters

Thanks for popping in, hope you have a lovely evening :o)

Sweet Stampin' - spring

Happy Saturday :o)

This week's challenge at Sweet Stampin' is 'spring'... not very springlike out there just yet, but we can dream eh?!

I had just received this month's gorgeous release of clear stamps from Digi Stamp Boutique, and this one looked perfect for a spring theme to me.  It's called Sweet Bird and Flowers and comes with the main image, plus the sentiments I've used and more.  I coloured it with copics, and added some Viva Pearl drops around the image.  The papers are old ones from LOTV, oval dies are Spellbinders and the pearls are from my stash.

I'm entering my card for the following challenges
Allsorts - I spy something beginning with 'B' (blue, bird)
City Crafter - polka dots
Dream Valley - things with wings

Thanks for popping in, hope you have a lovely evening :o)

Just For You - Digi Stamp Boutique DT

Hello :o)

Sorry I've not been around much lately, it was Morgan's half-term last week and Dex's this week, so I've not had much blogging time.  All back to normal on Tuesday though!

I've used one of the fab clear stamps from DigiStamp Boutique... this one's called Just For You and the sentiment stamp is available HERE.  I'm enjoying experimenting with different colouring mediums at the moment, so this one was 'painted' with Inktense pencils and a water brush... the splattered background is really easy to do, just by flicking the water brush on the end of the pencils.  I'm hopeless at any colouring involving water, and think I probably always will be, but I don't care because I enjoy doing it!  I added Enamel Accents to the flower centres, the red twine and sparkly gem are from my stash, and the paper is probably 10yrs old lol.

I'm entering my card for the following challenges
As You Like It - favourite way to add a sentiment
(I prefer to stamp them... I'm not usually organised enough to use a digi sentiment, it's easier just to grab a stamp!)
Cardz 4 Galz - stamping (no digis)
Always Happy Birthday - CAS birthday

We're off to the cinema to see Early Man now, hope it's good!  Thanks for popping in :o)

Polkadoodles DT - anything goes

Hello everyone :o)

I'm here with my DT card for this week's challenge at Polkadoodles... the DT are following a 'new beginnings' theme, but it's 'anything goes' for participants as always.

I couldn't decide what to make at first, then I spotted this image and thought, passing your driving test is a new beginning of sorts isn't it?  Nothing to do with really wanting to use the image of course... she's called You Passed! from Winnie Celebrations 2, and I coloured her with copics.  The papers and sentiment are from the Work and Play Love & Kisses set, and the stitched rectangle is a MFT die-namics die.

I'm entering my card for the following challenges
Cute Card Thursday - one word sentiment
Stempelgarten - girly
Simon Says Wednesday - add a die cut
Colour Inspiration Monthly Link Up - anything goes with hand coloured image

Thanks for popping in, hope you have a lovely evening :o)

Mr Bear and a bunny - Digi Stamp Boutique DT

Hello everyone, and Happy Valentine's Day :o)

I've used one of this month's cute new images for today's card... this is Mr Bear.

He's available as part of the Mr Bear Banner set HERE... I added one of the included sentiments and coloured him with copics.  The papers are older ones from MME (Miss Caroline Howdy Doody), the little stitched tab is a MFT die-namics die and the enamel dots are Doodlebug.

I'm entering my card for the following challenges
Sketch Saturday - fab sketch
Animal Friends - stripes and/ or dots
Crafty Animals - anything goes

Now originally I started colouring another of this month's images, with prisma pencils, for today's card, but I wasn't happy enough with it for it to go on a finished card.  So I thought I'd share it anyway as a sort of colouring practice progress thing, and I can keep notes on the back of each piece of where I went wrong/ right, and maybe revisit the images for another go when I've got a bit better with the pencils...

This cute image is Spring Bunny... I'm fairly happy with the jumper and the grass, but made a mess of the bunny and flowers.  More pencil practice required!  The 'off-white' paper (I'm using Canson Mi-Teints) also takes a lot of getting used to when you're used to the bright white of copic-friendly paper.

Thanks for popping in, hope you have a lovely evening :o)

Everybody Art GDT - car/ motorcycle/ card for a man

Hello everyone :o)

I'm here with my Guest DT card for Everybody Art, where our theme is 'car/ motorcycle', or you can just make a card for a man... easy peasy!

I've used a fab Cuthbert image, available from Little Miss Muffet Stamps HERE, coloured with copics.  The papers are Dovecraft, sentiment is a clear stamp available from Digi Stamp Boutique HERE (so appropriate for the recipient, as he's a bit grumpy about birthdays lol).  The banner die is probably Memory Box and the black dots are Ranger enamel accents - first time I've tried these and quite impressed with how well they set, most of them ended up a nice slightly domed shape, just like a 'real' enamel dot.  I made lots on a piece of acetate and they peeled off easily when they were set, only a few set in strange shapes, but that was probably me lol.

I'm entering my card for the following challenges
Little Miss Muffet - anything goes
Challenge Up Your Life - grey & yellow
Crafty Calendar - 2 or more layers
Alphabet Challenge - w is for wheels

Thanks for popping in, hope you have a lovely evening :o)

Sweet Stampin' - girly

Happy Saturday :o)

Our new challenge theme at Sweet Stampin' this week is 'girly'...

I've been working on my first Prisma pencil colouring class with Kit & Clowder, so I thought I'd make my first 'proper' pencil coloured image into a card for my mum.  Mostly because I couldn't face parting with an image that I spent over a week colouring, unless it was for a 'special' card!  Really enjoying pencils, but it takes me ages to colour with them.

The adorable image is from Di's Digi's HERE, the papers are old LOTV ones (now retired), I think the flower and leafy die are both Memory Box, 'mum' is possibly Clearly Besotted and the Happy Birthday sentiment is a clear stamp from Digi Stamp Boutique, but I can't actually find this one to link up at the moment... will hopefully add that later.  Sparkly gems and pearl from my stash.

I'm entering my card for the following challenges
Dream Valley - use 3 patterned papers
Dragonfly Dreams - flowers
Pile It On - 3D embellishments

Thanks for popping in, hope you have a lovely evening :o)

Polkadoodles DT - anything goes

Morning everyone :o)

I'm here with my DT card for Polkadoodles, where the DT are following an 'engagement' theme, but as always it's 'anything goes' for participants.

I've used a pre-coloured image for a change... I layered the image on a 'love' heart embellishment before printing and cutting out, then added lots of Nuvo clear sparkle to the 'love' lettering, which again just looks streaky in the photo, but is actually nice and shimmery!  The papers, image and heart are all from the Work and Play Love & Kisses set.  Finished off with some little flower sequins from my stash.

I'm entering my card for the following challenges
Cute Card Thursday - anything goes
Craft Rocket - love
MAWTT - love

Thanks for popping in, hope you have a lovely day :o)
